Bickleigh, a picture postcard village with a family fun Maize Maze, Crediton (8 miles) for superb local produce, and the city of Exeter’s historic quayside and cathedral are all a short drive, whilst the sandy beaches at Dawlish Warren, Teignmouth and Exmouth are easily accessible as are glorious Exmoor National Park, Killerton House and Knightshayes Court (both NT) and Dartmoor’s rugged granite tors. Shop and pub serving food 0.5 miles.

Reviews
This was the ideal cottage for those that want to get away from it all. A lovely spacious and well equipped barn conversion set in the middle of the Devonshire countryside but within easy waking distance of the local village.

This cottage was aptly named The Retreat. The location was relaxing, quiet, wild life with daily visits from the local pheasants. If you need to get away and recharge your batteries this is the ideal holiday home. The owners visited us the day after we arrived to see if we were ok and to inform us that some crows like to peck at the kitchen windows. We will be returning to the Retreat in the very near future.
